Decom Survival Guide

So, Irish Decompression is almost upon us!

Having spent the past weekend down at Charleville Castle cleaning and prepping, we can tell you that you're all in for a real treat. The place is looking amazing and that's BEFORE the art gets put in place and stuff finalized!

There are a few things we want to let you know about that will ensure your total enjoyment of the night. Some may be new, some a reminder, but better to be sure than sorry, or dumb or whatever ;-)

* This event takes place INSIDE the Castle. We have 3 huge rooms as our playground, plus a fabulous Basement for all night hooraying and general dance-a-thoning.

* We will have not one, not two, but FIVE fabulous fires going all night to help keep us cosy in this big (but not centrally heated) Castle.

* We will have a magnificent Bonfire outside, which is being started 24 hours before, to ensure it's as good as it can possibly be.

* This is a BYOB event! Woo hoo, no exorbitant commercial bar charges. Main thing here to remember is, this is a BYOB event! That means Bring Your Own Booze, don't be a schmuck, arriving after the offy closes (which is *early*, 10pm), with your pretty hands swinging emptily at your sides. Duh

* The last train from Dublin to Tullamore leaves at 9.05pm, arriving AFTER the off license closes. Read that again. (Do you think we've made our point by now?)

* An army marches on it's stomach, and all serious party-goers know they need a good feed beforehand to keep the energy levels going all night. With that in mind, we have The Eco Bus on-site, providing scrummy food (and they wont forget the veggies amongst us) and hot drinks all night at - wait for it - Less Than Festival Prices! How cool is that? How good are we to you?! So please, come straight to the Castle and bring them your appetite and your custom.

* We have all kinds of art, and all kinds of music. We have all kinds of everything, in fact, so I'm just going to leave it at that.

* This year, we will actually get to burn a temple! Not telling you any more than that for now, but trust me, it's Totally Awesome!

Oh and of course, like Burning Man itself, this is a Leave No Trace event so please look after yourselves. Plenty of waste bins around the place, please use 'em!

We love you and can't wait to drink and dance and celebrate and talk playa nonsense with you! Looking forward - very much, thank you - to seeing you all on the night. Gate opens at 7pm. Bring your friends (with their pre-purchased tickets) and stay to help us clean up too :-)

See you Saturday!

Blessings,

Your Decom Team
