Hello there all you lovely boys and girls!

It's almost, almost, almost time for us all to be Smokin' Craic! Oh yessiree bob, the great night is almost here, and with that in mind, I just wanted to remind you of a few things, small details that will ensure you have the best possible time.

Gates open at 7 pm

Gates CLOSE at 10pm, that's TEN bells, folks, so don't dilly dally, but get yer asses on over to us pronto.

As we're going to be kicking our heels up till next morning, the good folks from the fabulous Eco Bus are coming along again this year, providing us with nourishing and yummy food and hot drinks, at very reasonable prices.

This is a BYOB event, so do remember to Bring Your Own Booze! There will be no commercial bar, but we will have 2 gift bars happening. Should you feel so inclined, it would be majestic of you, and heartily appreciated by all and sundry (and probably yourself at some point in the night!) if you brought along some booze to donate. This could be a great opportunity for you to clear out your booze cupboard and bring along all those half empty bottles of, well, everything, really! I can tell you that there's a definite request for whiskey for a very special project, and shots of any and every sort for the other one (well, like I said before, we'll take anything and kiss you for it!)

Weather; a reminder, in case you'd not noticed, but it's rather cold these nights. We will have fires going, inside and outside, but please do come prepared, have your trusty playa coat to keep you toasty should you step outside for a smoke etc

This being a Burning Man event, we want to remind you of two of the famous ten principles, namely Radical SELF RELIANCE, and LEAVE NO TRACE. We're really hoping you'll all take both those concepts on board.

For instance, if you find the toilets are out of paper, go find some and put it there, or if it's a more serious problem, please be sure to let us know. The Castle stewards (all volunteers, btw) will be wearing Hi Viz jackets, so if you don't know which of us costumed divas is crew, just talk to a Steward and they will help us to sort things out. Just basic common sense really!

And then there's the dreaded CLEAN UP. This is the bit that is hardest for everyone, but especially for those of us who have been toiling for weeks and weeks putting this thing together. By the time the night comes round, we're pretty knackered ourselves, so we're really hoping that as many people as possible will help us put the place back into presentable shape in the morning and allow us to keep our good name as a Leave No Trace organisation. Just putting it out there, so you might keep it in the back of your mind.
If you're one of the heros or heroines who has already promised to help with this, swearing on stacks of bibles and saying things about sticking needles in your eye, then please don't feel harassed by this second bit of blatant begging:-)

That's about it folks.
Can't wait to see you all on the day!
Your Decom Crew (who love you)
